A word distribution amplifier module with eight individually buffered outputs. All eight outputs are available when receiving signals via the GPU bus. One input and seven outputs are available when the external Word input is used.
The WDIS8 is more than just a word distribution amplifier. It is able to decode the GPU signals from a reference generator (like the DSG3 or DSG5E) into a variety of clock signals, used to synchronize a range of popular PC based signal processors, HD recording systems, DVD mastering equipment etc.
Each output can be individually configured by internal jumpers to: 1xFs, 2xFs, 4xFs, 8xFs, 16xFs, 32xFs, 64xFs, 128xFs or 256xFs. When used with the DSG3 or DSG5E Reference Generators, Fs can be selected to 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz or 96 kHz, giving output frequencies from 44,1 kHz to 24,576 MHz.
The external input has pulse shaping circuitry with 0,3 Volt sensitivity, impedance 10 kohms. All outputs are TTL compatible, 75 ohms single ended.
